We present Rivendell: A accessible Gathering Place which is located in Smithfield Canyon (yet close to Logan - 6 miles away). With an elevator, wide halls and roll in showers, families of all abilities can gather in one of several large areas which makes the home not crowded even with large groups of people. Dinner seating is available for large groups with china and silverware included. The elevator stops on five floors including coming out of a tree and continuing up to an indoor treehouse at the top floor. Fifty foot swimming pool, sauna and hot tub for large groups, large gym with basketball or volleyball and a real stage for a family gathering/performance or a corporate presentation. The kitchen comes with double Wolf ovens with a griddle and SubZero fridge and freezer. But if that is not enough there are two more full kitchens in the home with two more full fridges, full freezer and two fridge drawers. Four dishwashers in the home help make clean up a snap. The kitchen work area was designed for lots of cooks helping and not getting in each other's way. There is also an oversized outdoor grill next to the outdoor fireplace. The large home includes almost two acres along a creek and fire pit with chairs for large groups. The grounds around the home give you nature with lawn space to relax outdoors. Take a stroll along the paths and you most likely will encounter deer as you cross the bridge over the creek. In the winter we a first priority road for the snow plow and have never had a problem with snow. I also clear the driveway when it snows. No 4x4 needed. The large great room and loft offer a large space for families to have dinners, play games, visit, and more. This home was built by our grandparents 20 years ago. We want to keep their legacy alive by having travelers stay and enjoy the home. Guests can access the main and upper level of the home. The basement is off limits as it is used for storage. The fireplace isn't to be used by guests. The loft area and stairs have open railings. Please be very careful with young children around these railings. We live nearby, and will be available if needed. Carrie manages the space. We will provide you with a code to enter the home upon check in. You will enter through the garage door. Please make a request for anything you need and we will do our best to accommodate you. There are 2 cats that live on the property. They are not allowed in the home. If you want to bring your pets you may, but they are to stay outside as well. No pets are allowed inside the home. No Smoking is allowed in the home and cigarette butts must be disposed of outside. Our family neighborhood is quiet. The cabin is surrounded by fields. We share a small road with the cabin across from us. The other cabin is owned by a family member. There is a school nearby. Plenty of areas to go for walks. We have a driveway that allows for parking. The circular drive in the front of the home may be used for parking as well. Please do not park on the center drive, or on the road. Access to 600 East from the North is closed off before and after school hours by the city. (approximately 8:50 to 9:20, and 3:20 to 4:10). You may enter and exit to the south at all times.

There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds. The main couch is very comfortable for sleeping for most adults. We also have two queen air beds and one child sized air bed that can be used in the common areas. You may also use our infrared sauna. The outdoor space has a table and 6 chairs. We also have 2 lounge chairs. There is a gas grill on the patio. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, chest freezer, coffee maker, blender/food processor, toaster, waffle maker, toaster oven, 2 induction burners, griddle/panini maker and small crockpot. We just installed a dishwasher, disposal and washer/dryer. There are extra pillows, blankets, sheets sets and towels. There are some toys and games. We don’t have network TV, but we do have Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+. While we don’t have air conditioning in the basement, it stays cool even on the hottest days. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms.

It is 45 minutes to the slopes in the winter and an hour to Bear Lake in the summer. It is across the street from grocery shopping, the instacare clinic and close to restaurants. The condo is located on the main bus lines for Logan for easy transportation options. This condo is a family home and perfect for a quick getaway weekend, festivals, concerts, attending training workshops or visiting a student at the university. Bedrooms: It has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, closet, dresser and end tables. There is a small work desk available in one bedroom. Kitchen: The kitchen has all of the necessary equipment for family meals. There are pots, pans, cookware, cutting boards, coffee maker, salt, sugar, pepper, silverware, plates, dishes, cups, etc. The kitchen has an electric stove/oven, crockpot, toaster, blender, microwave, fridge and Keurig. Livingroom: The living room area has a sleeper sofa, chairs, and bookcase with games and a good selection of books. There is a flat screen smart TV with cable. There is reliable WiFi provided also. Welcome to the Hillside Manor in Logan. This charming 1920's home has been modernized for the convenience of the 21st century, but has kept the ambiance of the 1920's era. The heating system was updated in late 2017 to provide comfort to the whole home. This upgrade included central air for those warmer Cache Valley nights.
